Ascot Golf is proud sponsor of the England Ladies Order of Merit for 2014.
The Ascot Golf Order of Merit provides a league table for performance of English women and girl amateur golfers across a spectrum of championships and team events.
Points are awarded for all finishing positions from 1st to 20th in stroke play and last 16 in match play. Each event is classified according to the quality of the field and a weighting multiple is applied to the points awarded.
Review of 2013 Ladies Order of Merit
International Alex Peters has won a nip-and-tuck race to top the England Golf ladies’ order of merit, sponsored by the golf tour operator Ascot Golf.
Alex, from Notts Ladies’ has claimed the title of England’s top woman golfer by a narrow margin from fellow international, Sarah-Jane Boyd of Cornwall.
“I’ve had a good year and I’m really pleased to have won the order of merit,” said Alex, 19, who thanked Ascot Golf for their support.
“It’s a big thing to win because it shows that all my hard work has paid off. I’ve been steady throughout the year and it proves that you don’t need to win, but you do need to be consistent to get to the top.”

Review of 2013 Girls Order of Merit
Gabriella Cowley has won the England Golf girls’ order of merit for 2013.
The 17-year-old from Brocket Hall climbed almost 500 places in the world rankings, qualified for the Ricoh Women’s British Open, won a top scratch event and played for both England girls’ and ladies’ teams during the year.
“I am really happy to win the order of merit, it’s a big achievement and it means a lot,” said Gabriella, who thanked Ascot Golf for their support. “I’ve worked very hard this year, both during last winter and through the playing season, and this shows that it’s paying off.”
