Montecastillo Hotel is located just 10 km from Jerez – host to the May Horse Fair on the first week in May each year, a spectacular equestrian event.

Some of the world's finest horses and riders compete in the endurance trials, coach driving, "pursuit and tumble" and dressage competitions with a stunning display of the finest horses.

Montecastillo GC

Par: 72 Length: 6456m Course designer: Jack Nicklaus Venue: PGA European Tour - Volvo Masters

Montecastillo was venue of the European Tour’s season-ending Volvo Masters from 1998 to 2001. Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, it features strategically placed lakes, rolling hills and elevated tees affording spectacular views. The 18th hole is particularly worthy of note, with the tee 40 metres above the fairway and the green surrounded by a lake.

Costa Ballena GC

Par: 72 Length: 6892m Course designer: Jose Maria Olazabal

The course at Costa Ballena is links style, designed by Spanish great Jose Maria Olazabal, is considered to be one of the best courses in Spain. Los Olivos and Las Palmeras are the championship nines and the par-3 16th is particularly worth a mention with its intimidating island green making sure you won’t want to make a splash on this one.

Sherry Golf

Par: 72 Length: 6572m Course designer: Stirling & Martin of the Global Golf Company Venue: European Tour Qualifying School

Sherry Golf regularly hosts the Qualifying Event for the European Tour and is located just 1.5km from Jerez. The course is reasonably flat with wide fairways and large greens. However, a variety of tee positions make it challenging for all standards of player. The practice facilities are very good with a large driving range, pitching and putting greens. Sherry Golf is popular with large groups, with restaurant facilities in the clubhouse (1800m²) and in Torrelaguna, a multi-purpose building capable of hosting up to 500 people.
