Based on three loops of nine, Golf del Sur’s 27-hole course has hosted some of the biggest names in the game - Jose Maria Olazabal has also won the Tenerife Open two of the four times it was held at Golf del Sur.
The course is challenging and full of elevation changes, with some holes requiring carries over bunkers/waste areas which are particular to the volcanic island of Tenerife.

Amarilla Golf & Country Club enjoys great views of the volcano Mount Teide to the north of Tenerife.
The 5th hole is one to look forward to as it requires a carry over the sea to the fairway. The fairways in general are fairly flat, and the terrain is links-like, with dips and hollows protecting the small greens.
